Sock Monkey Climbs Mount Everest!
Professor Bananabrows has become the first sock monkey to successfully climb Mount Everest, completely unsupported, and with nothing to protect his extremities from frostbite. His only support was his sheer strength of determination and will power to do what no sock monkey has ever done before.
The Professors 15 day trek began 2 days after arriving at base camp 1. He developed his own unique climbing ability using tail-swinging, to move like a mountain goat quickly up the mountain side. When asked in detail about this new technique the Professor stated that this was a method that he’d been practicing for months in Nepal. Tail-climbing is something that he believes every sockmonkey could learn, and would benefit from as it would boost their self image, and give them a positive mental attitude.
6 days into the climb things began to get harder, Professor Bananabrows made camp, and then a storm began to set in. It was with renewed determination several days later that the incredible journey continued onwards. He began to cast his mind back to when he was learning to tail-climb, the ability to focus completely on the tail, and its surroundings. It required utter concentration and timing but it was the months of preparation in the mountain
regions of Nepal that gave him he strength to continue upwards through the thin air.
When he finally reached the top, he placed a single frozen banana on the summit before beginning his descent, after going no-where any Sock monkey has gone before, and helping to raise awareness of the plight of sock monkeys worldwide..
